2WD? Daytona noob

I am planning on making the trip from MA Tuesday or Wednesday. My question is any problems driving on the beach with 2wd? I would be taking my Accord down and have no beach cart either. Thought it might be an issue but the beach looks pretty packed down. Thanks!!

Searched a bit and saw lots of RWD and 2wd cars driving on the beach, just need to bum a beach cart!

You shouldn't have any issues unless there is an extreme high tide. Bum a beach cart, just make sure you take it right back to who you borrowed it from and let them know it's back.

It will be no problem, the sand is really packed. We had a couple of 2wd cars last year.

Awesome thanks everyone! I suppose if its packed I prob won't even need a cart to atleast unload. I hate being unprepared but can't justify getting one for an annual trip I've never been to..

you could whip one up from pvc and get pneumatic wheels from harbor freight for 100 bucks or less.. then it will double as a garage stand as well

Do you have to use pvc cement when you make them? Size and portability is key with a sedan tow vehicle

for the most part you do.. you could always fit it together at home.. assemble and glue at the beach then cut it in 1/2 to bring it back home and re glue it with a coupler.. or use no glue and drill holes and nut and bolt it

I wouldnt sweat it too much. There's always a million carts there. Just ask permission before taking one, and bring it right back. Most ppl are very cool, you should be fine.

Our big truck is 2wd (because we haul long distance and the mpg is aboud double of a 4wd) and we get a little stuck but always make it off the beach. A normal truck will have no problem being 2wd.
