$400 to crate a hull?

I was just lookin at this on ebay when I notice wamy wanted $400 just to crate the hull (not including shipping). Is it just me or does that seem outragous?

that things beat and needs reinforcment..barley worth the 500 imo..

There was a thread about his shipping prices before. Seems he accounts gas to the store, wear on his tires, wood, hammer, nails/screws, meals, beverages, and any other sort of fee he can think of.

I made a crate to ship an sj to enzo (Texas to California). I used a Yamaha v-star 1100 crate from my local yamaha dealer. Fits great! The only mods I had to do were 1. knock out the rear tire holder and 2. screw two 2x4s to the bottom inside of the crate. I have about 15 minutes and $5 in it. $400, better scratch my butt and then some for that kinda money!

Someone always answers the phone at Wamiltons. Guess with labor prices like he charges I wouldn't wanna miss a potential victim, I mean customer :cool2: Charged $10 to ship a DVD 70 miles.

I think $500 is killer for the hull, hood, nosepiece, scupper, & footholds. Just the hood is well over $500 new. Just needs some lovin

500 for that hull really is not a terrible price, it already shows the weak spots on the ski so you can strengthen them now before a very expensive paint job.
