550/650 swap cooling lines

I'm doing a js550/650 SX conversion and I'm confused where a few lines go to for cooling. I have an aftermarket waterbox that has a line coming off it when the OEM box didn't have a line at all. I'm Confused where the line hooks up. There is also a nipple on the pipe that I'm not sure where it is used. in the photo you can see it. Thanks.

That nipple that’s on the back of the pipe is the drain nipple. The 650sx hulls have a exit stem on the bulkhead wall that conected to that one on the pipe. Have you done the exhaust mod on that pipe? If you haven’t then you definitely should it’ll increase the performance of the motor quite a bit. As well as solve your issue.
I believe you could also just run it to the pisser hose with a T or Y fitting. But I’d highly recommend doing the pipe mod it’s pretty easy

Would i be able to use the hose coming from the waterbox to run the like for the mod insted of putting a fitting welded onto the rear of the pipe?

I’m not sure honestly. I’ve never seen a small diameter line ran to the waterbox. I’d imagine you could as long as you put a 150 jet int the line to dry out the box. But honestly im not 100% sure on that one.

Oh haha no need to waste money on fast shipping. I got one from a guy local to use for now. Just use ground or whatever. Also thanks for the help.
