300/440/550 550 Engine Build..

So im maybe thinking of swapping over the 440 engine to a 550 engine.. i all ready have:
- 550 barrel and head (do you think that it has to much rust in the cylinders, would it be able to be honed out?)
- 550 carby and intake
- hull with good jet and brand new berings

i can get a bottom end with stator and starter motor and it has 5 hours on it and then all i would need is gaskets, pistons and rings..

The thing i need help with is to try and see if the barrel would fit on it.. im not sore wat year its off and i dont no weather its reed engine or not.. the only thing that i know is that the bottom end is a 88 Sx. Can you tell from these pictures weather or not its a reed engine and weather it would fit onto the 88 sx bottom end?
thanks for the help

It is hard to tell how bad the rust is from the pictures spray them down with penetrating oil of some kind and clean them up with a scotchbrite or steel wool if you don't have pitting then you will be ok. good luck
