5lb Battery - How do you mount yours?

For thous of you that are running the tiny battery's, how do you mount them in your ski?

I know i can use the stock location and just fill the void with foam. Seeing if theirs a better way to do this. Also is there a center battery mount for us kart tankers that is made for the small battery?

I made mine into a center battery mount.....I have mixed feelings about it

Its awesome keeping all the wieght dead center, but using the battery as part of the engine keeper design probably isnt the best idea in the world


it looks a little different now..this is a 7lb battery

I bought a couple smaller custom made aluminum battery holders from PancakePete. I can't remember who made them originally but it was a member on the board. Holds them tight, uses stock straps and moves the battery slightly closer to the center of the ski.

Contact flashsj he is the one who had those boxes made... I have one full season of salt use on the box with no protection ( Paint anod. etc ) looks like it did the day I put it in... Box can be used with stock straps or girdle brace....Not sure if he has any left but worth a shot

3 layers of turf glued to the bottom sides of a Jetworks and it will fit nice and snug in the OE or stainless stock sized box.

im surprised as how my battery box has held up. still looks great too.

im not crazy about the small battery box....there are times when you may have to swap in a foreign battery on the beach

it might be a season, 2 or 3....but the dimensions of the OEM box offer LOTS of variation
