61x on a 2002 SUperjet?

I just picked up this ski and was starting to look at it and it just didn't make sense. I know the motors are supposed to be 62t's cases and cylinders. The guy I bought it from said he never touched it and it has been like this since he got it the only thing he added were the carbs. Can someone tell me if this is actaully true. I never knew in 2002 superjets you could get with a 61x cylinder on them.

Also I'm going to use the boat mostly for freestyle should I just sell those riva redtop 44's and get a pair of sbn 44's or will they work good? I also have a pair of sbn either 46 or 44's that I got along with it and the stock 38 set up so any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Steve
