I think the 760 is a 64U. Not sure of the difference but I think the porting is similar to a 62t.

64x is the code i just looked it up
i am not sure what 64u is
maybe a gp1200

The head I had on my stock 701 was a 64U.

i think its the code for the head not the engine
as there is 3 types of head for this engine

you can bore a 62t to 760
and you end up with the exact same thing

just yamaha designate the orginal 760 cylinder 64x for some reason

Yamaha do some strange things
(hey there were supposed to have lamey cylinders std in 98)
how is that for strange
