Must have been all of those bolts in the 4th pic! It always sucks to loose the motor at the begining of the day versus at the end.

Sucks!

I got a bit of water in it about 6 week's ago but just pulled the plugs and ran it hard after i got the water out and all was good. Besides that it has been dry almost all season.. I think the Rod just got old and broke.

thats a bent rod from the last time you sank it. it just hung on for a wile. deff good job making a nice scrap pile. why do they always break when theres good waves!!dam it

Ya it hurts, I might build a 61x motor to finish off the season (untill the end of november) then build a arm yanker over the winter... I'm Guessing i had a bent rod and it finally let go just seems weird i had no power loss what so ever.

Thanks for the Offer Bruceski.. when im ready i might shoot ya a pm

I got it all apart now. It's a lame situation but you gotta look at the good points... I have something to practice case porting on, I'm gonna clean up at the scrap metal place, and it WILL lead me to a BB motor for next year!!

I did the same thing to the motor in the ski in my avatar. It's had 4 hard years and many sinkings though. I wasn't really too surprised when it let loose. Mine munched an upper rod bearing and wiped out the motor just about the same way.

Dont let that end your season trucker. Easy fix. We are builing graham a new motor this week! Riding season in canada is too short as is...
