Super Jet 62t cylinders with factory pipe exhaust manifold

Was putting on a new exhaust manifold and the bolts(8 of them) on the 62t cases are bigger(diameter) than the bolts on a 61x case. So I got the right size bolts but now the heads on the bolts are to big to get into the two inside holes that are always tricky to tighten/loosen anyways. Anyone got any ideas or know where to get bolts that might have a smaller head profile?

the cylinder bolts to the exhaust manifold. Bolt stores around here don't have much of a selection and when they do they are not the right pitch. Also I did get some bolts but the heads are too big for the inner two bolt holes and won't turn because the head of the bolts hits. Would oem bolts work ( and I know they will on 6 of the holes but how about the inner two?)

I have a 62T factory pipe manifold I can trade you for your 61x factory pipe manifold.
PM me if interested.

I personally just took helicoils and threaded them in, and then used the stock hardware. The helicoils go in without any modification to your existing threads, and mine held torque great many different times. Then you can just remove the helicoils if you decide to switch back to stock.

I forget the size helicoils you need but if you search the info is on here....I found out about that trick on here. I personally would do that before trading...

Or just do the inner 2 that are tight.

My personal choice is to just use the correct exhaust manifold per cylinder. Plus the gasket will match.

Whats up brotha(Tomski), sorry I havent got back to you but I had to wait on the parts. I will be needed a top nosepiece soon and will get ahold of you. Or I might have someone at the freeride pick it up from you for me

no lol i had the same question any certain length i work at advance auto and i just used are kit we had just put one in there and ur good to go i lock tighted them in but im never gunna take them out so thats y and i just bought a JM motor but you will be fine with just one coil in there they hold well it was my first time doing it 5 days ago so i was in same boat

I didn't even see any different length helicoils when I bought mine.

I did mine two seasons ago, and have had the manifold off a couple times with absolutely no issues at all. I believe I did use loctite on them as well.

They usually come in packs of 12 and you may want to put 2 in each hole. There is a tool to thread them in with that comes with it. I just did it and it has held tight.

Unfortunately the FPP 62T manifold is just a very sloppily drilled and cut 61X manifold.

Since my threads are fine in the cylinder side don't I just screw in a M8x1.25 helicoil in or do I need to drill out the threads and use the helicoil threded tool before inserting??
