62T sleeve smaller than cylinder opening. exhaust port

So tearing into my ski to put an ada head and b pipe on and I noticed that the sleeves in the exhaust port hang down about 2mm lower than the cylinder port. There is also some slight extra on the sides as well. Is this normal? Im 99% sure its never had any port work done and the engine was bored out to 84mm before I got it. Pistons and crank are basically new and only 5 gallons through it.

For future reference is this the material that gets removed by someone who does porting?

Yes and no, it depends on what type of porting.
