Surfriding 62T stator VS 61X performance question

I know the size are different and need both stator & flywheel in same ref for working….
So just asking if it has notice power/ efficiency /shelflife/ etc…between 62T and 61X stator ? I have both on shelves and start building and old engine , and both have lightened flywheel .

T stator has a hotter spark. For sure. But the x stator is just fine. The t flywheel is heavier, but both can be lightened.

Ran out of t stator for my surf ski. Went to x cause that's what I had. Didn't notice any difference.

Zeel seems to be able to account for a weaker charge coil on the stator. To a point.

I have been doing a lot with the Zeel Y62T ignitions recently. Have tested against 61x , 62T oem flywheel's
and stators, then against common Alum charging Flywheels
61x vs 62T stock to stock not seeing any measurable performance difference. outside of X flywheel being slightly lighter
(testing being video comparison of spark generated, and seat of pants riding back to back comparison)
Noticeable spark difference with Alum charging. Feeling that is related to the stronger magnets used.
I found no difference in charging Volt output X vs T

Keep in mind, the overall Health of your total ignition system, wires, battery and related parts ALL play a part

Same reason the longer continuous magnet of the t flywheel generates more energy than the stepped magnets of the x flywheel. Pretty basic concept. Whether it's noticeable seat of the pants. That could be argued.

Can't remember which but my testing showed one of them starts generating spark roughly 150 RPM sooner than the other too. Not a performance gain but it would aid in starting, especially if your battery isn't up to the task of cranking at 800+ RPM.

I'd have to go back in my notes or rerun the test to verify but I'm pretty sure the X starts firing at 600, where the T is closer to 750.
 
The Max Starter Cranking RPMs (with fresh Battery) from a mint 62T Ignition System/Starter in a Stock Stroke PV 850 Dasa Engine with 180 psi Compression was 540 rpms read on a PET Tachometer.

So 540 rpms was enough to easily and reliably start this Engine...

The 62t zeel charges the capacitor with the charge coils, not from dc battery input?
Thats a difficult question to get answered. It wouldnt make much sense to do this since they already have a low draw battery powered system that just needed a modification to the trigger.

Paul ? I have a zeel 62t ignition that I may replace the msd enhancer in my Freak surf ski ,which has a Tbm aluminum charging flywheel in. Is there anything I need to know about it ?possibly advancing or retarding stator I hope I can just swap it out in the ebox and ride. Thanks

Definitely check your base timing with zeel. If you can. Make a cutaway flywheel to verify it. I chased issues with t zeel for quite a while. And the basic problem was zeel is extremely picky about static/base timing.

My 62t stock cdi dasa 1100 rips on a stock cdi. I've thought about zeel. But the quirks I've dealt with on ku surf ski, have me weary. It's hands down hotter spark. Like zap your ass if your not careful. But it still every now and then. Will crank forever and not fire. Let of Button. Hit again. Backfire. Runs fine. Happens prob 5-10 percent of the time. I'm no idiot. Neither am I a rocket surgeon. But I am positive it's the zeel that causes the weird issues. As I've never seen it on stock cdi.

This is real world input. From a guy who rides alot. Who doesn't give a crap about sponsors or hurting feelings. Strictly want more riders.

Also. Zeel will straight up smoke your engine quick status if your tuning isn't correct. Because of the lack of rev limit, and the pretty aggressive curve it comes with stock. That's where the power is. The curve. And it's on the edge imo
