300/440/550 650 carb and pipe question...

I'm working on a guys 650 that's running a coffman pipe and the stock CDK keihn carb. It doesn't want to run or tune at all and I'm wondering if the stock little 28mm carb is just too small to run the engine with that pipe. Anyone running just the coffman pipe with a stock carb and no other mods? If so, what jetting?

Pipe is fine, check the pilot jet as its so small it will plug up very easy. Stock jetting but open the high adjuster.

Ill check it in the morning. Any idea where I should start with screw placement as far as turns in/out? The guy brought it over with them turned all the way closed in.
