650/X-2 650 reduction nozzle

So what are vain looking things for in the reduction nozzle. Should I remove them?

I am wondering the same thing. I was going to bore mine but dont know what to do with those?

I bored mine to 85 mm and since it's off I was going to remove them if needed

I think they help direct the water into a straight flow like the veins in the pump. I'm not sure. My aftermarket PJS doesn't have them.

they straighten out the water flow. you might take out the 2 big ones if you bored out the nozzle but i would leave the rest IMOP

a straighter flow would have more effect when turning the flow as far as the turn nozzle goes. if all the water pressure is going straight out the pump then its going to continue going straight after the turn nozzle. vs if its spinning it will continue to spin when it exits and probably expand. fancy fountains have Manny veins in them to straighten out the flow of water that way when it exits it keeps in a straight path. especially lighted fountains with those super smooth lazer like flows.
