650 top end

This is my first ski. I was told last year that I could redo the top end... I'm thinking about giving this a go or at least purchasing it and having someone else install. What do I need to buy? Can i just get any kit off the internet that I search for? Any help is much appreciated.

Schiff32, contact JetManiac on here, he will take care of your parts needs. My first ski was a 650 SJ. I did a top end on it. I was lucky enough to find a Factory B Pipe, so I bored and ported the cylinder, had the head milled and squish adjusted, rejetted the carb and modified the CDI. Made a significant difference in performance on the 650.

Nothing is really wrong with it, but I had a mechanic do a quick once over last year and he mentioned that the top end should probably be redone, so trying to be a little pro active.

Ride it till it blows, then spend the money on a 61x motor to drop in. They are cheap.
