Alright so the other day I was looking around the site and noticed someone with 650 squarenose and a Coffman's pipe. The Coffman's pipe resembled that of a 650sx and was wondering if the two pipes are interchangeable. Just asking because of how much they looked alike.

I know I started off asking if the 650sx pipe would fit but now I have come across a Coffman Sizzler pipe for a 650sj and was just wondering how much power does this pipe bring. Or would I be better off looking at other pipes. Just wondering. I know a Superjet is not exactly a Vintage ski but the first question pertained to it and I didn't want to start a new thread.

if you came across it cheap throw it on, if its a 650, itll make pretty damn good power for that engine. If its a 701 a b-pipe is considered best (with best throttle response, power etc.) but if you got it cheap, you could dremel out the manifold and use it.

I dont think they made any others and if they did you be hard pressed to find one. Sizzlers the best for a coffmans, I never heard of another, I hear thats better then the FPP for a 650 engine.

i'm sure the header bolt holes that mounts to the header to the manifold is the same for both yamaha + kawasaki's standups.
it's not the same for sit downs.

the chamber's are also not the same.
the mounting bracket holder that the lord washer goes through are welded in different areas.

the tail cone for the kawasaki is longer + the stinger at the end would have to point down instead of up like on the yamaha.

i've been a coffmans sizzle man for 5 years now.
dont buy there other pipes, they are junk metal pipes, allways cracking at the welds.
he had a bunch or lettuce pickers welding up there back in the day.

the sizzlers are bullet proof pipes, but not as good as the b pipe on performance, but not by much.

good luck

I concur, the sizzler pipes used to be cheap, then the B pipes became "holy grail" then the sizzler went up.

its a bullet proof pipe, makes good power, the b pipe IS better, but noone has ever provided quantified numbers of how much better.

If youve got a sizzler run it.
if you find one cheap, buy it and run it ( or let me know, and I will buy it)
