Other 650sx to 750sx or square nose

So this will be my third season riding and im hooked like a crack head. I picked up my 650sx for 750 bucks, added a prop ride plate bars etc.. and I've been satisfied so far, dialing in all the basic tricks the 650 is capable of,, subs, nose stabs, 360s etc... But its time to step it up. This season i want to upgrade. So I've been thinking of going to a 750sx. 2 of my riding buddies have square noses (6m6's) that ive ridden a fair amount. I like them, but dont feel its any more capable than my sx., despite the bigger pump. Whats to gain by getting a 750sx over the 650sx besides power? And how does a 750 compare to a square? Keep in mind I'm a lake/river boat wake rider not surf. Ultimate goal is to barrel roll. thanks!

Im not sure you can get a 750sx for dirt cheap unless your lucky. They seem to be selling around the same as a SN. My brother has a 750sx and he loves it. Lake and surf riding. Paid $1500 this summer for it. I really enjoyed riding my SN even with a 650 this summer. Both 750sx and SN are an upgrade from a 650sx.

Ive ridden, 550s, 750 sx, sxi, sxr 800 and all years superjet. Regardless of power, Ive always enjoyed Superjets. Soo if the choices are kawi vs SN superjet, go superjet.

I ride a square but its far from "stock" form and its great in the surf, and lake riding. I really love the Yamaha fx-1, but can never seem to see them for sale out here in the northwest.
If you are coming from a kawi platform and ultimate goal is to barrel roll etc, the fx-1 would be a similar feel to the 550 just with Way more power.
Either way, Yamaha all the way. Just my two cents.

Eventually you are going to want a superjet especially if you want to go upside down. I agree with you freeriding is like crack. Don't waste money starting over modding another ski that ain't built for what you want to do.

Thanks for the info guys, I appreciate it. So one last question, powerwise, does a stock 750sx put down THAT much more power than a 650 6m6? If i could afford a 701 it would be no contest.

Technically a 750 motor puts out more power than the 6m6. But it is all about getting that power to the water and the yamaha driveline is far superior with its 144mm pump. Because of that if you rode two stockers with good compression back to back you will probably think the yamaha 650 is the stronger motor.
