Anybody know if the 66e motor with a stock pipe will fit in a blaster hull? (I know the motor will... I have the WD conversion kit...just wondering if anybody has tried the stock pipe in a blaster. Thanks!

You will have to buddle the hull near the footwell to clear the stock exhaust. There is a guy on here who did one, do a search. Pretty clean build once done.

If you are looking for good power in a B1, you may want to take a look at the Yamaha 1100/1200 conversion plates offered by Extreme Throttle on here or the Kawi1100 conversion plates offered by the Rad dudes. Both of these make as much or more power than the 800 motor and will drop in with minimal mods and no glass work. Just a suggestion.

The exhaust fits just fine and tight , you may need to cut out a small clearance for the carbs and then glass over it , if you do it nice its not noticeable , glass in 2 extra motor mounts , slide in the water box in the rear .

Changing my thinking and seriously considering putting this in a B2 now...I would love to do a 66v in this B2, but I have an unused stock 66e I got off e-bay a few years ago thats paid for ;-)

I got a chance to ride a B2 with an 1100 in it once and it ripped....even in the surf.

Anybody know if I would need to replace the motor mounts from the 760cc to one from a 66e or 66v style? Also would I need to make a custom midshaft?

Also would the stock waterbox work if it's going into a B2, not a B1?

Thanks for the help.

I'm hoping to avoid touching the stock waterbox, just looking for some advice about the need for different engine mounts and midshaft. Thanks

Just a little heads up the mounting locations for the 66e and the 1100-1200 Yami are the same so if you buy Extreme throttles kit the motor will bolt in, as far as carb and exhaust clearance issues I cannot say.
