Compared to the bell dh mb helmet i have from walmart it is slightly heavier. On a cheesy bathroom scale they are .3-.4lbs heavier than the bell.

The bell is just a bike helmet, this one says it exceeds dot and snell protection. I really dont have an accurate weigh to measure its mass.

Would you not use a gopro bc of the weight? That is the kind of difference in weight imo.

Better test is to get them both wet then compare. I always thought the bell was more protection than my kayak helmet.

After riding a carbon ski in poopy surf i have learned that lighter does not always equate to better.

I just got this in the mail today. Its awesome! Its around 3 pounds dry, feels super light! The finish looks great. Only complaint is that it looks a little big around the head and face on the outside.

Could be lighter, but my bell will still be the backup. Happy with the fit, and more visibility opening around the face

Hmm, just found this and looks good. But measured my head at 22 1/4" which is the gap between small and medium... Any recommendations of which way to go?
