701 max safe power

So im buildin a new surf hull this winter and i want to use 701 and my guestion is that what mods is out there for 701 to get max power out of it. I have brand new engine and im planing to use msd totall loss, b pipe blowsion cylinder head, v force 3 reeds and dual 48novis. I have heard that some people has managed to get 701 engine do miracles and i want to know every detail and ideas idea is that im using that engine for its reliability. So every oldschool grease monkeys tell me your secrets;)

on a 701 all you need is 44's. No Gains by going larger. The motor will not be able to effectively process the additional fuel. You will not be getting all the performance out of it you can get.

Im just tired of big engines right now. I want to ride and not fix all year so that it the reason im building 701. 48novis is all i got so i have to use them. Im planing to port my cylinders but i just want to know more about 701 fine tuning.

48s will work great, it's been a tried and tested option where I'm from with big carbs on sub 800 motors. Tl and high compression will do great put a 155 behind imho

on a ported 785 sure. but a stock 701. Not so good. Not saying it cannot be made to run good. Just that you may not can get everything the motor can do.

48s will work well on a ported 82mm motor but like BK said results will vary. Total loss should help a ton with using that extra fuel. Still might lose a little off idle torque but would gain a lot in mid range acceleration.

Buy some stock 38s or 44s for $200. 38s work fine up too 800cc, look at the jetmaniac 781's... my xscream 900 runs mod 46's and runs great. I had a ported 736 with 48s and the power wasn't smooth and it was wasting alot of fuel.

I have run 48 novis on a 701. they will work however price for power they don't stack up, 44s are awesome 48s are more awesomer.
Use the 44s and spend the extra on some thing else better value. make sure you get a limited chamber

Why's that? I thought b pipes were some of the best? Do the others give better low end?

Bpipes are the least likely to break mounts and couplers while having good response. Most other pipes make significantly more power, cost less, and are a huge pain the ass to keep together. Water injection helps get that power where you want it when you want it.

Stating the obvious but the up and over Dry pipes weren't really meant for surf riding or wave jumping, they were race pipes.

Ive got a motor like you're describing, always ran mod chamber but I have a c4 chamber and an r&d dry pipe I'm going to experiment with. Will post back results in the future.

Run the new TNT v3 pipe over the b pipe. Those things wake up motors something crazy. Plus total loss is a bad idea in surf, your asking for issues and you'll waste time on the wrench rather than riding.
