701 rev limiter removal

Anyone have a modified Rev limiter for a 701 or how do I just shut it off ..thank you

shut it off in like u want lower oem rev or shut it off like u want max rev ?

You'll probably blow it up the first ride more then likely it's a stock 701

61x with a westcoast head and red pipe 175-180 psi each cylinder I think it might be the mid shaft

Could I be pushing to much power where the rev limiter would kick in

How's your impeller how fast does it go does it hit rev limiter right of the bat when u get on it could be a couple different things

I'm thinking I blew the mid shaft it Reva righy off the bottom

Sounds like coil issue or your pump needs rebuild check clearance on impeller to housing

I'm gonna change the coil on Saturday

Yeah that does not sound like a coil related issue. Don't just throw parts at it. Does the ski make enough thrust to make it move or does the prop just spin(cavitation)
Could be stripped splines, etc hard to know without more info.

There a thread on how to cut it open and solder across to eliminate the limiter. Everything I've ever beat on had no limiter and that ain't why junk blows up

Makes a rough thrust I figured it was a mid shaft

replace your pump seal and check out your pump splines and impeller.
