My 701 is firing only on one cylinder. it idles fine and revs fine but when put in water it is operating at half power (can even get the ski on plane)
I've changed the plugs to new ones and the rear cylinder is firing fine (chocolate brown electrode) but the front still looks brand new. I checked spark with a spark tester and both have strong spark, both have equal compression and when checking the heat between the 2 cylinders was 130f rear and 100f front cylinder. Took the head off and the cylinders are both fine Bought a replacement coil so I'm switching that out but do I need to replace the cdi also?
This one really has me scratching my head as to what's wrong with it. Could the stator, coil or cdi be bad?
