thanks but that only does the center of the case. the side of this one are thin also. they cut the case so the rod would fit and now its like paper thin.

that is a nice part from dasa.

Thanks for the props guys. We now build a different plate that covers the whole bottom, we did this after the problems we has with ATS Aaron's motor only to find out later that the case was more the problem than the epoxy. Later we decided it was so cool that we just kept building it. The smaller plate is still available if someone wants them. I'll see tommorrow why we don't have the updated plate on the website. If you call the shop we can get current pricing and email a pic or something if you want to see it. I can post a pic of it if you like as well. But I'm a little biased, the billet cases will solve your epoxy problems.

We use the DASA billet plate that covers the whole bottom, don't weld up the bottom of the cases as very difficult for most people without getting distortion.
Use the new DASA plate with Alluminium Devcon epoxy - spend heaps of time preparing the surfaces though for the epoxy to bite

Paul Lehr did all of the work (porting, clearance, epoxying, disaster plate) to my cases. It is currently a 8mm but the cases were set up for up to 10mm.

It is completely disassembled right now..... if you need any pics lemme know...

I think complete case work with reinforcement is $450 from DASA.

thats what i was thinking also. my case bottom has some damage to it so that makes it worse. i made some small plates to fill in the centers of the cases. but this new dasa bottom plate mine be the ticket. this motor is an old stroker motor. its no big $$$ motor. this is kind of hack it back together and see how long it runs. thanks guys for all the info.

Have you seen the XScream disaster plate? It is a billet work of art! They use it on all of their 10mm strokers.

you can use it on a stock stroke motor but there really is no reason to. my cases have ben cut thin to let the crank fit. then a screw from the reed cage came out a poked 3 holes in the bottom of the case. (i got it like that)
