I'm not sure what model 750 the box I have came from is, but I know it's not an SS or a 750sx. It's probably from a zxi. I took the small plate and drilled four holes in it to mount it where the 550 box used to go. It had to be mounted just right in order to clear the battery, exhaust, and driveshaft. It's also mounted at an angle slightly facing down towards the engine. Silicone the hell out of the bolts holding plate in once their in to prevent leakage into the box. Then you can bolt and unbolt the side of the box with the electrics attached as many times as you want. I mounted mine with the coil wires coming out next to the battery and the starter solenoid on top. This way, I can easily jump it if necessary.

I'll try to get some pics today as I took them during the install. Knock on wood, I have had no electrical issues since converting to the 750 box from stuffing the crap into a gutted 550 box. The only time I had a problem was when I sunk the ski and got water in the box. I opened it and cleaned it out & no issues since.

I just stuffed my 750 electrics in my 440 box. Everything fit but the cdi, so I just zip tied it on top of my battery straps so it wont bounce around. The cdi is sealed so no problem if it gets wet. I dont know about salt water getting on the connectors though.

I thought the same thing too, but lost 2 coils and 2 cdis. We ride salt constantly. With the new box, everything is sealed much better. Plus I can take off the fuse cap and let the box air out if it does get damp.

Yeah, no salt here in AR. I havent fried the cdi yet, not saying I wont though. I know with the quads ive slammed and floated in local creeks I havent had any probs with very similar cdis but its all spring water. I would rather have the right electric box if I found one, anyone have a pic of the right style?
