750 SX/SXi Factory wet pipe in X2??

short answer is no it cannont- with the 750 FPP manifold the header will hit the hull, which will mean some serious hull mods, if you use a standard westcoast or PJS manifold the chamber will not line up with the header pipe, the mod kawi wet pipe chamber gets in the way of everything on an x2 anyway, you would want to move your starter solinoid and prob battery as it butts up far to close...
too get it to fit, would also require you moding of the chamber by lengthening the coupler by welding a wedge (deff not worth it), the chambers are worth what the yam ones are so mayaswell sell yours and buy one of them .. the headers are the same so you can still use that.

best option is to either use a blaster mod chamber (prob what you have seen in the past, looks like a wetpipe chamber, but i still wouldent use this cause u would still want to move the solinoid and batt) or superjet mod or limited or blaster limited..

The superjet chambers looks like they were made for the x2- fits like a glove

if it has been done before the person wasted there time...

It should work with the proper exhaust manifold, it had a unique orientation on top. (middle) But as stated there are other easier combo's.

well if you have tried it..... Cause i certainly have, with a standard, westcoast and 750FPP manifold and the 750 wetpipe doesnt fit. the only way to get it to fit is modify the chamber (lengthen it with a wedge) or completly cut the glass out the LH wall of the ski and use the manifold made for the 750SXI-SX..

I am thinking of going with a 650 SX factory pipe chamber with the 750 engine. Does that chamber fit well? Does it work with a 750 engine? The 650 SX chamber seems much more available than a SJ mod chamber.

FP lists the SX and X2 pipes the same. Don't over pay for these as the head pipe and chamber are $440 new from FP and you reuse your 650 manifold. I'd venture to guess that it'd surely be an improvement over a stock X2 exhaust, but not quite as good as the 750 chamber, as it's built for that engine. I've read that Harry from Group K doesn't like the Blaster LTD pipe on 750 as it's not built for the engine size and porting. Crab will probably disagree as everyone comments on how good his ski runs.

Ah, so you must have welded that wedge on to space the coupler flange toward the head pipe on the out side. I did test fit my sx chamber with the stock manifold and found out why it doesn't work without some welding. The correct manifold won't work because of hull clearance, basically, you need your tower to be about 2" wider.

I'm hoping to get mine running right here today. This engine hit hard with the sx pipe on it. I want to see how it runs with this Blaster LTD chamber. It may not be the perfect chamber, but it's proven that it works well enough (maybe even better???).

i ran both blaster and the SXI limted, they are both awesome.

yeah i had a wedge welded on and had to have a custom bent center bleed pipe made with several compound bends. the wedge was the easy part, the center bleed is what took all the time.

allmost exactly what i said ;)

the sx chamber looks like a two piece supjet limited? or was the early SJ chambers 2 piece??

The 650 kawi chamber was 2 pieces then they made it one. I ran a 750 with the 650 kawi chamber and it was fine.
But now I am running the SXR wet pipe, it fits right in and is made for the kawi 800 motor so you cant ask for anything more!

SJ is a bigger volume. But like it has been said, factory makes different pipes for different skis for a reason. SO yes the sxi chamber is the best for the 750 and the sxr 800 is the best for the 800.
The SJ volume is closer to the 750 sxi.

so the 800 chamber fits in to worries? do you have a photo of this?

they only ever made one 750sxi chamber right? looks like the blaster mod chamber? never made a chamber along the lines of a SJ limited did they??

Sxrvstill needs alittle cutting and welding but nothing crazy. The water box hose end gets cut and the center bleed waterline needs to be moved a side from that it fit like a glove.

just go with the blaster chamber on a 750, i was able to do it without melting the tank at all, only a little trimming of the hood. it ripped on my 750 last year, no welding, no melting so you can do everything at home for no additional charge, just a little hood hacking and you are good. if i had to go back and do it again i would have kept my blaster chamber and put the 1000 bucks i spent towards many other things.
