750 sx?

Okay,brother in law picked up a nice 750 sx and it runs fine on the hose,but when you get it to the water it seems to run fine for 10 mins and shutdown.The engine is really warm like its not getting water from the pump?Its a completely stock 750 with a aftermarket imp.Every cooling line from the pump through the exhaust is clear.
I'm lost on kawi's.

Blown head gasket will stop the water from coming through....

exhaust leak?

water in fuel?

bad coil?

runs fine on the hose, then gets hot in the water. i am pointing to it needing crank seals or some other leak in the bottom end.

how hot is hot?

it gets hot to the point to when if you splash some water on it it will sizzle,also the pisser is just dribbling out water theres no pressure.

yeah that's major heat. pull the head and check it, but don't rule out the bottom end leak. at least you can do crank seals w/o having to do a complete rebuild.

sounds like a clogged water intake from the jet. Disconnect the main coolant in hose in the negine compartment and blow compressed air back through it.
