SX/SXi/SXi Pro 750 SXI hull shape for Tubbie II sponsons

I have a 750 SXI and am scared to snap the tubbie II's if I try to mount it according to the instructions I received with the purchase. This is because the sponsons do not feel to have much flex, probably due to its unique shape.

Has anyone done this before successfully and how would the riding characteristics change if I'd mount them further at the back so they don't need to be bent as much?

You can mount the tubbies where the instructions say to go. They do in fact have enough flex to form to the hull just go front to back. Make sure you follow all dimensions on the instructions.

They will work. I thought the same thing when mounting mine. Take your time and measure/mark everything out. You will love the way your ski rides after installed.

I installed mine per instructions and had no issues, one side did come out slightly different than the other though. It sits slightly lower but does not effect riding at all. Love them!!!

I got it installed the other day and it was quite a messy job.

The hull seems barely strong enough for tightening the screws so I had to use bolts where the thread gave in.

Next time I will just remove fuel tank and use more bolts instead. That will also keen the fuel tank from being punctures, which is hard to tell.
