Starting to undergo my kawasaki 750sx conversion with a yamaha 760 engine. The hull is totally completed and I have a couple questions.

1. What prop should I run in the 750 pump? Stock sxr prop?

2. How should I do the exhaust?

I was running an sxr big hub 12-17 in my conversion ski with a jetworks ported 701 and a b pipe. It pulled hard everywhere. For the exhaust, I just ran a water box in the nose rather than the one on the bulkhead. You can't fit the stock fuel tank if you go this route but a 550 tank or a kart tank fits fine.

So what do you guys think about a stock sxr prop then? I will probably be running a stock 650sx cheater pipe and mod that with a larger chamber.

As said before, it might spin it and cavitate. Im not 100% sure on this but isnt the stock sxr prop essentially a small hub 13-18 swirl? How are you intending to run a 650 cheater pipe? Do you have a manifold plate to bolt the Kawi mani to the yami cylinder? IMHO I don't think that's the optimum way to go on the 760 cylinder but fill us in on the details of your build.

I am going to run the 760 engine in a 750sx hull w/ the Rhaas conversion kit. I am going to find a yamaha exhaust manifold w/ the 3-bolt pattern on top to fit the "cheater pipe." Engine will have dual carbs, 750sx pump w/ dual cooling, smaller fuel tank so I can throw a waterbox in the nose and wrap around the exhaust.

Nice. Dig up JJC568's Yamasaki build thread. I believe he originally attempted to run a Kawi head pipe on the yami manifold but the holes were a different angle and it didn't fit if I recall. I'd still recommend saving your dough and springing for a b pipe, you'll be glad you did.

This is true just as you said. I tried the Kawi Factory pipe I had and the bolt holes were a different angle. The head pipe was positioned against the outside of the hull, No way to get to work without some custom adapter.

I'd get the Yamaha B pipe. I also never ran a waterbox. You would need a super small SJ style box if you wanted one. I had a 8/16 big hub swirl on mine. It worked great with the kawi motor and worked ok with the 701. It did spin a little but hooked up good after the initial spin.
