760 cylinder and Mikuni 44's

What numbers or letters are on the side of the 760 cylinders?

Also how can i tell what size carbs i have? I was told they were 44 Mikuni's but i can't find any identification numbers on the carbs and did a search on here but came up with nothiing.

Will have 62T at the bottom where the base gasket it, and between the cylinders on the carb side it will have a circular stamp that has a 6 x and some other letters in it (Can't remember exactly.) The 701 62T cylinder probably has identical markings on it. I had a true 760 cylinder, and it appeared exactly as described.

Some will probably come on here and say that the cylinder will be stamped 64X at the bottom instead of 62T, but for me to believe it they are going to have to post a pic.

Ive got one at home, I can post pics later on if you want.

62t 760
62t 701
61x 701

the 62t cylinders are visibly different around the top, and above the exhaust mounts.

the only diff I have seen from 701-760 62t is the bore size.

Mik 44s, look very much like sbn38s, except they have 4 bolts up top to hold the flame arrestor on, instead of the 3 bolt setup that is on the 38s.

Cool thanks guys... looks like it has 90 over 27 with a cirlce stamped between the cylinders and 62t at the bottom.

Mouth could you check and see what your says between the cylinders? Thanks

a single carb 701 is a 61x and has 8 mil exhaust bolts then there is the dual carb 701 that is a 62t and has 10 mil exhaust bolts and then there it the 760 dual carb and it a 64x and has 10 mil exhaust bolts i have all three and i could post pics of them if you would like tomorrow

No.

A dual carb 701 doesn't have to have a 62t cylinder. Any dual carb 701 that came stock from the factory came in an SJ had a 61x cylinder. Period. The 62t 701's are from various sitdowns that used the 701 engines.

Trying to read this gave me a headache.

1.) The 62t dual carb motor came in 96- current (That means 08 and 09) are included as well.

2.) Not all dual carb 62t motors have 62t cylinders. The only cylinders that have ever been put in superjets were 61x cylinders (Single carb or dual)

3.) I already said that I know there are dual carb 62t motors that do come with 62t cylinders. I already mentioned that they only came IN COUCHES.

I have no idea, likely something only Yamaha could make use of.

the cylinders ( not counting sleeves) are different on 61x and 62t.

so if you know you have a 62t cylinder ( easy to tell) then measure bore, and you can determine what it is from there.

Thanks man it looks like you have different numbers in that circle thats stamped between the cylinders than i do. I wonder if that makes a difference or maybe that is some sort of serial number.
