760 with 35 cc domes

I think compression will be 200+

If I really dont do any WOT runs, will it live on 91 octane?

a thicker basegasket would help, but that negatively effects the ex port timing.

Ive read on here, that a 760 hits pretty good with LOTS of compression.

does that mean it has to have race gas too?

yeah, ive done alot of reading and searching, and there is ALOT of info on 760s out there.

its just hard to deduce what is first hand experience, from what is second hand regurgitation.

Ok, been looking around.

I can get 104 octane right down the road from my house.

would 104 octane be safe with 35cc domes on a 760 bore?

I might occasionally mix some 91 octane in, since thats all I can get close to the lake ( 45 minutes away)

but be really careful if I had some 91 in there.

oh yeah, I generally ride at 1120 feet above sea level.

I ask, this again, because, im reading conflicting reports of whats "safe"

You can run 50/50 of race gas and pump super unleaded on 35 cc domes. Just make sure you don't have a stock cdi, you need at least an MSD Enhancer cdi set with std timing mark on the stator plate.

Go ahead and spring for the 35cc. I usually run 50% 93 oct / 50% 109 oct. I guess that's about 101 octane, mixed 40:1 klotz benol. I ran 93 oct with 35cc when I had a b pipe.

I already own some 35 cc domes, and some 40 cc domes, but the 40cc set is pretty dinged up, i dont think they are workable.

I can ONLY get 91 octane at the lake, and I can only carry so much 93 or 104 from town.

so I guess I need my junk to be able to run 91 occasionally with like NO WOT runs or something.

B pipe, msd enhancer, and I guess ill refrain from advancing the stator if flirting with deto is going to be an issue.
