650/X-2 87- 650sx - Is the hull number anywhere other than the tag on back right?

I bought this boat from a guy in texas. no title. no registration but he claimed it was on the up and up and that he would help me get a title. Turns out the numbers on the boat are registered to another boat in texas, not this kawi. oops! I have the number off the motor but I need the hull number. The hull tag on the back right is gone. Is that number anywhere else?? Please advise.

Look under the battery. You will need to remove the battery and the screws holding down the battery box. The second HIN is under there.
