I have a 1990 superjet 650. I got it over the winter from an older guy who hadit, not ran it for 2 years. It has a Factory B pipe, 44mm mikuni, westcoast head, aftermarket prop skid plate and a intake scoop style grate, and he told me it was bored over (dont know really believe him you never know). This is my second ski so i went ahead and tore into it. Replaced the reeds, intake, exhaust gaskets rebuilt the carb all new lines and primper pump. Cranks up on trailer hooked to the water hose without a problem. Something is wrong in the ebox bc the stop button does not work. Ive ohmned it out and the switch and wire is good. So Ive just idled it down. I can run it on the trailer and cut it off and it will start right up. I got it in the water and been tuning the carb. It has a 145 high and 121 low and a 80gram spring. I went through all combinations on the spring i have 3 of the four springs (95,80,and 65 gram). But kept loading up, Finally ordered a 115 low and that made it hestitate bad. And it would not want to start back up. Went back to my 121low and ran the 80 and it ran good a slight load up but not bad at all. Well cut it off and it would not want to start back up. Tried priming and starting that made it worse i can hear it trying to start like one piston will start going then stop. Tried holding throttle wide open nothing. If i let it set for like 2 hours it will finally start but still not easy but runs great. Ive tried taking the k/n filter off just to see because my plugs always come out wet (of course after spinning the motor over and over). But they always look good in color wise not black but that chocolate milk look. I almost think that it is running just to hot bc it does seem hotter at touch than my kawi. I just dont know guys and its freaking got me on the verge of pouring gas on the whole freaking ski and watching it burn.
