Super Jet '90 SN carb position

We were rebuilding my buddy's '90 SN and were told two different ways to mount the carb. Based on the throttle plate and length of the cable, we have the carb set-up with the linkage facing the rear of the ski. This is also how it was prior to taking it apart. We were told by a very reputable person that the carb should have the cable linkage facing the front of the motor. We are not sure how to make this work. If we reverse everything, the cable mounting bracket doesnt line up and the cable is a little long.

Does anyone know the correct position of the carb on a '90 SN? Does the cable linkage face the front or rear of the ski? The ski has a 650 in it.

Yup you had it right the first time. Check your mounting plate as well. It seems like it could go a couple directions, but the carb pull goes toward the rear of the hull.
