94 Blaster running poorly

Got any suggestions. Runs fine for a couple minutes then it seems like its losing a cylinder, blaaaaw blaaaaw blaaaaw, let it idle or shut it off, start it up and it runs fine for little while longer. Thought I had water behind the diafram in the carb, took it off, cleaned it, its perfect. I am leaning toward CDI or Stator or coil now, I think its electronic. Plugs are wet when we shut if off and check. Info is appreciated.

always check compression first , go from there then fuel and elec .

My blaster did the same thing. Cut the plug wires back 1/2 inch and problem solved.

You have changed plugs, right?

Yes, I changed the plugs twice. I will do a compression check on it, but it really wouldn't run good at all if it had a compression issue. It runs fine for 2 to 8 minutes.

Fuel filters '' external and internal ??? screen in tank ?, one way vent ?

Exhaust leak perhaps. Is it getting hot? Might be going into limp mode.

Thats only if he has the crappy NGK style boots. I never use those for that exact reason.

I don't think its a fuel issue, plugs are wet when it occurs, we also hit the manual primer when its happening and it bogs the motor ever worse.

I had coils going out on a GP1200.. did the exact same thing.. coils would get some heat and start to crap out... would never completely die, but weak enough where plugs would look wet. Run awesome for about 5-10 mins....
