Blaster 95 hull 96 motor, air snorkel???

How do I get around the second carb for the air snorkle on a 95 hull using a 61x motor? Searched but found little detail. Can I plug it, would the front air inlet provide enough air?

I can't quite understand what you are talking about here and I'm sure thats why you have no answer. By air snorkle you mean the rubber tube coming out of the hood that ends up just behind the engine? The hulls never changed from 93-96 so everything should fit with no mods.

96 has a different rear snorkel, to adjust for the twin carb setup.

the general solution that i see and have done on one of my B1's myself is to just cut off the lower portion that interferes. don"t plug it,... not like it'd cause some kinda catastrophic damage but it's just not kosher... LOL. both hoses and the vents in the top of the upper hood and vents in the back of the lower hood are all part of a "ventilation system".

i've been working on bicycles, motorcycles, and cars all of my life and now i'm doing pwc's. while i'm always ready, willing, and able to modify for the greater good,... sometimes you gotta step back and consider the following :

when a manufacturer makes 50,000 units over a 4 year period, they generally don't add even the smallest, least expensive item to it unless they truly have a good reason to do so. think about it....View attachment 184344View attachment 184345

I didnt realize the snorkle was different but thats a good call. My 93 was cut when i got it and my 96 is not. I never gave much thought to the fact that it may have been different before it was cut.

Yea, I cut mine too but wish there was a better way. 1.5" x 3" aluminum rectangular tubing not available at resonable cost. was planning on making my own collor to attach new radiator hose to with correct bend. I don't like the possiblity of water dumping on top of carbs.

i used flexable vent hose on the cut vent in the conversion. attached it to the stub that was sticking out and routed it up to the front of the hood and zip tied it in place. works great, doesnt get in the way, and when the water does come in, it will be forced to the front of the fuel tank area so it doesnt splash on the motor.
granted the one i did was in the front of the hood, but you get the idea in the pic.
i would make it longer next time to bring it closer to the bottom of the hull though.

My thoughts exactly. found plastic start collar and flex duct at auto store used for aftermarket intake duct. What a pia to remove cover on hood though. Thanks for the photo.
