Super Jet 95 wave venture 700 motor

I have a 95 yamaha wave venture sitting in my parents driveway that hasnt run in a couple years. i know my dad put a lot of parts on this motor and it was pretty quick back in the day. I have a 91 sn superjet that i was planning on buy a 701 for but i just now remembered about this ski. I wont be able to get to the ski till next week so i cant for the life of me remember what motor is in that thing from factory. does anybody know anything about it ? im pretty sure its a 701 but i cant remember and i cant find any info about it on the web. I know it has dual carbs so was that from factory ? any info would help a lot.

62t cases 62t cyl 62t electricals 38 mm dual carbs 701 n it should have a 62t nozzle with trim incase you ever do a trim motor will fit in your square. Will need an aftermarket exhaust tho plus change the jets in the carbs because there different from front to back

awesome. thank you river rat. so i can use the pump off the wave venture ? it doesnt have trim that i know of. it has forward and reverse

I don't recall being able to use the pump .I believe the shaft is longer on the venture that's about it if someone else can chime in.

what do you mean by trim ? i know it also has a riva red pipe on it but if i remember right it goes out the back so i dont think it would work in my superjet

On the pump of a venture you will see the nozzle is able to tilt up ...on your handle bars there should be a small lever (not like a throttle lever or bike lever) it moves the trim up on the nozzle , freestyle guys use this for C.a.t.s trim set up or they use the nozzle with there xmetal etc trim set ups.

edit: forgot some of these don't have trim so you might not have it.

yeah i know it doesnt have the trim set up. everything from there will transfer over into my ski except the exhaust right ?

Motor wise yes including motor mounts and for jets it depends on what exhaust your going to run.

well it has the riva red exhaust but its a piece of you know what. im probably just gonna use the stock exhaust from the 650 motor. i heard theres a baffle inside that you can remove to get more exhaust flow. but if i have the cash i will try and get either a pro tec or coffman

Your going to need an oil block off plate for the stator area also

turns out the cover on my 6r7 motor doesnt have a block off its just covered. in need of a stock exhaust right now as the 650 exhaust is to small. ill post some pics up. also im trying to get rid of a red riva exhaust for a yamaha wave venture or wave raider with exhaust opening facing the rear. let me know if anyone is interested

I just picked up a stock 94 raider on a single place trailer last night for $500! Doing some shopping around for a clean RN hull then I'm going to be doing this exact same build so keep us posted on your progress!

sweet man. im just waiting for my exhaust and oil block off plate then its ready to go hopefully. tested the compression last night. 165psi each cylinder. ill post some pics of my progress
