Freestyle A beginners guide to world finals

This will be my first year going and it seems there are a handful of others going for the first time as well. I'm asking those of you who have gone, what should we know before we go? Anything you wish you coulda shoulda woulda in the past? Anything to bring that most would not think of etc. I leave in 27 days. Our demo ski ships out in 8 days. I have lots to get done and I'm not thinking straight!

I might be attending for the first time as well, solely to try out demo skis before making a first time AM hull purchase. It's been advised this is the best way to try out skis from willing builders.

Just make sure you have plenty of money to spend. There's just so much you'll want to buy. Every conceivable part, ski, gear, and apparel you can imagine will be there.

Give yourself a budget. The more you bring the more your spend. Everything is for sale at finals. This year I plan on getting some new riding gear. Finals is the best place to get it because you can make sure everything fits. If you are going to be there all week try to bring a pit bike or something. It's nice for cruising around the campground. I'm no world finals expert but it's a start.

On test rides try not to burn more than one tank and no double boat wake jumps . It is the dessert so being in some sort of altered state is a good idea as well .

Well, you are there for the pros and the babes. So to make the most of your time, you'll want to stick with the big name pros that also are total babe magnets.

Find Fiore and stay close, in other words.

If you speak to any riders who don't speak English, make sure you speak slowly and very loud so they will understand you. The louder you speak, the more they can understand you.

There will be so many around him, I'm sure you could leach a few off him

Come on now. 1200cc (1400cc?) motor, tiny kart tank - so you get what, 3 minutes?

Is there anywhere to camp out near the event? Like walking distance to the event. I'm going to be poor soon with an AM hull in mind and saving some dough on a hotel would be key. Plus I don't mind sleeping on the ground after all the beers have been pounded.

Not looking like there is too much tent camping going on there... Wonder if that's because of the 100F+ sand and air.
