A Day in the Dirt MX Grand Prix: November 25th
- press release -
North vs South Challenge aka Indian Dunes vs Saddleback
On Saturday, November 25th at A Day in the Dirt Motocross Grand Prix the Competitive Edge motocross park in Hesperia will be the battleground for a rivalry many years in the making. It was back in the 70’s and early 80’s that two motocross parks were cultivating devotees of the sport. Last year they got back together again when rival novices, intermediates, and expert/pros from the north and the south took to the course. Some of the combatants were Mike Kiedrowski, Jeff Ward, Doug Dubach, Bobby Moore, Erik Kehoe, Mike Bell, Micky Dymond, John Whelchel, John DeSoto, Troy Lee, John Zahrt, Mike Runyard, John Ortner, Ty Swartz, Dave Castillo, Kenny Alexander, Jimmy Roberts, Tom Harper, Bam Simons, Rob Healy, Jim Castillo, the list goes on and on. 2005, it was the Indian Dunes boys narrowly defeating the Saddleback crew.
So, if you raced at Indian Dunes between 1970 – 1985 or Saddleback between 1967 – 1984 and want to join the 2006 battle, go to http://www.adayinthedirt.com/, download your entry form and sign up.
Using some Hollywood lingo…. “it’s going to be good, bad, and ugly!”
A Day in the Dirt, November 24 – 26, is presented by Troy Lee Designs, Brand X, and Stunts Unlimited, hosted by the Hollywood Stunt and Film Community, and sponsored by Weekend Warrior, Asterisk, Racer X, Flexfit, and N-Style. It is a weekend filled with races open to all beginners/novices, intermediates and expert/pros.
