A/m build donors

Hi,
I'm looking at doing a budget build between eme micro, aerial 8, aquabot etc. I would like to run a yamaha set up so I am considering the VXR pro or raider for a donor. I'm looking at an Xscream pole and waterbox. What else would I need to get my ski running? Driveshafts? Steering cables? Thanks

Besides the motor and electronics, youll need superjet driveshaft, midshaft, hoses, steering cable (you can use vxr throttle cable and pump housing), impeller pitched for your ski. Also look into a bpipe or some other kinda pipe within your budget as well as bigger carb(s) and high compression head. Probably can find some articles on these swaps into a superjet, should be the same or very similar minus it being a freestyle hull.

If you are buying directly from EME, you will need to specify yamaha so they can set up their conversion. You will also need to purchase their custom driveshaft. I believe the yami bedplate adapters are included with purchase.

If you are buying a used EME hull, I would say it is safe to say that it is setup for the Kawi pump components. You will need a kawi style pump, 650sx driveshaft (for Q8, sky, aerial, not sure on micro), and kawi bearing carrier

EME hulls are now Yamaha based, you bolt your yam engine right into the hull. And they now have a steering tube for your Yamaha steering cable. EME hulls. All hulls come with 2 steering tubes, 2 cooling lines and 1 trim cable tube.

You can use stock Yamaha pump and drive shaft also.

Might be best to just get a square with all the surf mods and swap it over.
