"...allows for the attachment of an outboard motor not only for low range or shallow trolling, but added security if your fishing excursion takes you further than your PWC’s fuel tank can take you"

So rather than carrying an extra fuel container for extra range, this allows you to carry an extra engine AND fuel tank for added range.

Not a bad idea actually. It would come in real handy if you break down out in the middle of nowhere. Its piece of mind as well.
Is making sure two engines are running properly less work than spending the time to make sure one engine is reliable?

As ghey as everyone will call this, for an offshore fishing rig it's actually a pretty clever idea in my opinion. Better to be able to rescue yourself if your ski breaks down than wait to be rescued...

Some guys take their skis on long excursions. That kicker motor is just piece of mind if the ski breaks down. You can have the best running ski in the world but anything can happen.

he'd break that too!

as a side note, the company slogan says "making you safe ..." so how is a spinning prop safe on a couch exactly?

Cause it will rescue you in a pinch fool.... LOL

I can see the "redundancy" selling point. But in the description they list "shallow water trolling"? How much more shallow can you get than with a jet pump?

We all buy ridiculous stuff for our skis... i'm not judging anyone. Today anyway.

At the point I'm going fishing on a sit down jet ski I'd rather be on a boat.

Hell any time I want to relax, cruise, or anything other than freeride I'd just rather be on a boat
