Adjustable Footholds

I'm looking for footholds for a fx1 I just bought. I have an old pair of xft footholds from a rn sj but i'm not sure if I want to take up all of the tray space. I have been looking at hurricane adjustable kit but would like some feedback if anyone has tried these in the fx1. Also, it appears that hurricane's website won't allow me to make a purchase. Does anyone have any info about when that will change?

I just had the ski clinic install the adjustable holds in my fx1 and I’m picking it up tomorrow. I can post some photos and give a ride report once I get it on the water.

I did my research on the clinics site and called directly for additional questions and ordering. They were very helpful and responsive.

I'm also leaning towards the rrp adjustable footholds. I dont know the depth of these vs the stock depth of the fx1 sides. Hopefully I could cut out the tray, narrow the sides and have these fit properly.

Have you considered making your own toe/foot holds and widening the tray at the same time? its not hard to do and you will not be forced into one particular position using rear holds. You can channel your existing tray sides out and having a hold the full length of your tray. I don't have pics of mine on hand. but Look up specialfx Franky and you get the idea. I love mine and took my RRP holds out in favor of the wider tray and front foot hold.

I have rrp adjustable on mine, as long as your not trying to ride on your knees it’s awesome, more tray space would be nice as well...

Yeah, I was thinking about making my own footholds and widening the tray. I was also thinking about cutting out the back sides about 8 to 10 inches off and having a flat rear deck with the footholds are in a spot where the sides were located. That way I can have the widest stance possible. I'm probably going to have to make a custom exhaust tube that drops lower than the foothold on the right.

I shortened the tray sides on mine 2.5 inches. Feels good for me and allows my heels to stay open in the rear if I toe in straight into the toe holds. I can still get out and away easy if I have to bail. I don’t recommend flat decking the tray or the majority of it. It’s so small of a tray and squirrelly of a ski to begin with. You may regret it and not enjoy riding it. The tray sides are needed. You’d need foot straps etc.. and unless those are adjustable.. you never really dial them in to where’s most comfortable or needed for balance. Just my opinion. Fx1 is super fun when you get used to them and get a snappy motor combo
