So I went out today to tune the thing after installing it yesterday.
I did the whole start out with the bottom screw 3/4 from the closed position, then rode her, then adjusted the bottom again a couple different settings after checking each. Couldnt seem to get the first few inches of the pipe to sizzle at all. The water is damn cold but i can imagine that matters too much. I plaid with adjusting the combination of the other screws a few times too.
I got it to where it really hits in the middle and high end rpms but cannot seam to get it dialed in for the bottom end. I cant even do tail stands. So basically i cant get it to rip right out of the hole........any suggestions? It almost seems a little dead in the low rpms.
Oh I freakin banged the crap outta my knee today too. So Ill be off the water for prob a week.
I also just installed a stubby cone too but I cant imagine that would do anything adverse.
This is my first boat so Im not too intelligent. Putting new jets in for me was a first.
Everything with this boat is a first.
