Super Jet After-Market wear ring---Plastic liner

SBT and WSM both sell aftermarket wear ring assemblies. I have heard that SBT's housing is made better and it comes with a more durable liner. Personally, I would rather tear up a wear ring liner than my impeller. Much cheaper to fix.

SBT liner uses Dupont Delrin which is used to make plastic cutting boards. Go with SBT over WSM. If you stay out of shallow water and don't run sand and debris through it you will get long life out of it and less wear out of impeller than oem.

I got the Delrin line in mine from Jetmaniac. Worked great for two season. I bought a WSM one for cheap and threw the liner away after one season and then bought a replacement from maniac.

If you ride in the surf or any sandy environment i would not buy a plastic lined wear ring, they get chewed up way to quick, buy the stainless solas wear ring

I run one. The housings are both the same really, the liners are interchangeable. The sbt liner is better. They're a cheap fix once you have the housing and your impellor will last longer.

Idk if it was an older version, but we tried to put an SBT liner in my buddies wsm housing and the liner didn't have a large enough O.D. To fit snugly in the housing.

That being said, as far as surf usage I agree with tanner. For close to shore sandy surf riding they don't last long. If you are an off the scissor stand and into deep water kid of guy there is nothing wrong with these though.

I gave one a shot this season and changed the liner once. It's worn out again. The housing is in great shape though with maybe 20 rides on it. I'd be willing to sell it if anyone is interested. It will work as is but I would recommend a new liner for optimal performance.

You nose, hood and housing liner DESTROYER !
j/k good info...
I have seen many riders ALSO take off from shore in 1 foot deep water and dredge the bottom...not good for any setup.

The fx mafia needs no water.............they have "special" pumps from the mining industry that move them thru mud and sand.
6" is like the abyssal plain to them.
Those guys are sick....fun to watch.

One of the reasons that I love the spot is that I can load and unload nearly free of sand.
One of the reasons that I rarely ride Daytona is the beach-launch-load misery. Sand is a given. Plus, it's just too much damn work. Even if there is somebody to take the cart back up the beach.....90% of my old-man energy has been wasted before I even hit the green button.
