Aftermarket engine choices

there’s probably some really good engines out there. What’s more important is who will you find to work on them when they do tear up? that question should be asked also at the same time. Who will be there to service it?

New TPE 964 isn’t too far off budget if you can find a decent bottom end doner. Maybe @Jr. can give you some more information
I’m over budget just by buying a short block. Also there is no guarantee that I’ll receive the full discount if I trade a bottom end in. I still need to buy intake and carbs as well. I’d like a Tpe but it would have to fall in the budget and be second hand.

Good point why I was leaning the stock stroke route. Easy to obtain stock cranks. If I need a stroker crank rebuilt I’d need to ship it out. Ill be the one to rebuild and service them when needed no problem there. Unless if it’s a Tpe and needs renicked then It’ll need to be sent out. You know standard stuff.
