What was your first trick attempt on a sit-down style ski?

I really want to attempt a barrel roll but don't know if I have the know how or the bawls. The ski I am using is an odd set-up compared to what most of you guys are probably used to seeing but, it is a polaris 780 powerhouse in a 750 hull. Its got lever-activated trim, FLOW footholds with 25mm underpadding, 44mm sbn carbs with tau-ceti FA's, a RAD flywheel, wet-wolf pump cone, skat-trak prop, shaved heads, boysen reeds, and some other goodies under the hood... It seems to throw pretty easily side-to-side but I am a little worried about the whole 360 degrees.

Im in Florida right now on North Captiva Island, a long way from where my ski is, but I wanted to see if you guys thought it was a smart or atleast a semi-smart idea to try a barrel roll on this ski. I have a giro helmet from blowsion so no worries on the head... just the body. :chairshot:

Just go for it.
Theoretically, it's possible to roll any watercraft given a right "rider/ski weight/power/rider skill" ratio . Again, make sure to take a video.
It's been done for years on an X-2 or a Blaster that are technically sit-downs.

I'm pretty sure Chuck Norris can roll an aircraft carrier.

hahaha... yea no worries, it will for sure be on video... Just hopefully I am on the winning end and not the losing end... And yes, Chuck Norris can roll an air craft carrier... I've seen it on t.v. which makes it true haha

Yikes, sounds a little heavy to me. Blasters rotate very easy, but I hate the Gyro affect of the heavy mass.... no slowing it down if you over rotate. Once you learn to hit them almost perfect every time its not so bad I guess.

It is all in how you leave the wave. Watch Jerry's vids on youtube thats the best way to learn out of the water.

Make sure someone is out there with you.

Hey most guys broll blasters over here, 1st do them with the wave(like jimbo then do them the hard way like a sj! ;>) get some decent air and youl be surprised at how much rotation you get! I learned how 2 broll on a blaster before on a standup....have fun go play!

Ps hang on for the ride dont just throw it away when airing...

haha on saturday i boosted a wave on the suv with my g/f on the back...i misjudged it and it jacked up at the last second so i had to hit it sideways and it threw us into this slow motion half spin...we landed almost completely sideways but pulled it off...luckily i didnt throw her off cause she would have lost her 400$ sunglasses...i would have been in big trouble...:eek5:
