Alloy pump shoe

So I was doing a gps run last night and elongated the holes in my plastic pump shoe enough that it hung down about an inch below the hull.

My question is, who makes the alloy pump shoes that have the mounting holes pre-drilled and the intake grate mounting holes that have brass inserts and are ready to accept a bolt?

I have used the Jet Dynamics one in the past, but I was so unhappy with the fitment, even after modding it, that I gave it away. I don't want to have to go through that hassle again.

I was thinking the R&D one may be the only one, but are there others?

Cheers...

blowsion sells one- not a bad price- i put one in my blaster and it fit good- i did have to do a little fitment grinding, but blowsion says it requires that upfront- if my rn shoe breaks it will also be getting one.

Dammit! Well, there might onyl be 2 of them available, the JD one and the R&D. I'm pretty sure that the Blowsion one is just a JD one.

Hmm, I might have to go and take my old one back!

I think the Blowsion one is actually produced in Australia. at least they used to have one like that was. the R&D is OK if you mill the bottom flat like a stock one. and the inside diameter is 140mm instead of 144mm.

The Blowsion one is absolutely the JD. I bought mine direct from the owner of JD and he told me the whole story. The current ones from JD, and I would assume Blowsion as well, now all come with the intake grate mounting holes pretapped as well as the 4 holes for mounting to the hull predrilled. This was not the case when the relationship between Blowsion and JD first started. The only thing I needed to do modify was my Worx 201. I removed some material from each side as it was a little too wide to fit into the shoe.

I have a R&D aluminum one...It came really beefy so that if you really needed the extra material,it was there. But my boat said too much...(pump overload).I ground the "deep scoop" off. :fing02:

edit..Sorry it had no "brass inserts"...good call...They need them.

I tried to fit a brand new JD on a new hull that I was building and could not believe how lousy it would fit. Not only did the corners rub while installing, but it also made the pump align very poorly. I always take the time to install the pump and align the pump flush with the ride shoe for the perfect fit but this POS would not even seal the pump properly.
Can't go wrong with the OEM, just don't hit anything!:bad3:
