AN Fittings, Stainless Braid Fuel Lines?

Shifty

I am working on my project car and am using AN -10 teflon lined stainless braided hose and anodized AN fittings. I am surprised at the weight and of course they look killer. The stainless braid is super tough in terms of abrasion. You would have to buy NPT addapters, drill and tap your carbs and such, but I think it would look nice on a custom ski. They would be easy to service from that point forward also I think. AN -6 would be a good size and not too bulky for a ski. Has anyone attempted this before?

It looks good, but jet-ski engines vibrate quite a bit and the stainless line will eventually cut through any thing it comes in contact with.

Also it expensive to use just for the bling factor.

Salt would also make the lines look like kak after a while. Buildup on them would eventually tarnish the finish.

Even if they are stainless.

These are some good points, I am just all about AN fitting now. The off brand fittings aren't that expinsive but the teflon line is like $60 for 10' in size -10. That is crazy. You can get some pretty small line also, I think I will see if that will work as my primer line instead of buying a kit, just tap the choke shaft holes.

If you want some unique fuel lines I'd get some braided sheathing/tubing (nylon looking, comes in a bunch of colors) multicolor, etc.

Just cut to length and slip over the regular fuel lines.
