Other Anti-Gravity battery holder

Remember when using a Lithium battery in a carbon hull to not allow the battery case itself to come into contact with the carbon hull. Pad completely around it. I just sold a new 12 cell with a Cold Fusion batt box to a member and he seems very happy with it.

The battery case is an insulator. I assure you, it will not harm the battery in any way, even if you attached a transmission line to the battery case

Not if it is a carbon batt box that is included with some hulls, I should have been more specific. Does not apply if using a Cold Fusion,Rad Dudes etc. batt box. Carbon WDK batt box on carbon ROK for example would need to be isolated with the foam pad or turf or what not.

The aluminum Cold Fusion battery box is a better conductor than a carbon-resin matrix. All that is inconsequential anyhow, because the case of the battery itself is an insulator. Absolutely no harm can come to the battery by having the case contact carbon.

What exact physical process are you worried about here?

Info came from Shorai and AntiGravity, just passing it along. I understand where you are going Matt and I thought the same thing. There also was an issue of reference about 11-12 years ago with the SureFire lights and CR123 batt life when used on a Carbon 92. IDK,just passing along what was told to me by both the aforementioned manufacturers. Call them and I'm sure they will explain it. I did'nt ask for the theory behind it,I just did what they said.

I found it odd too, considering that Braile and Lithionics batteries have a carbon fiber case. Back to OP, happy with the Cold Fusion box and think the Rad Dudes would be my next purchase.

I run a 16 cell without a box. Single strap with hydro turf under the battery since end of last season with zero issues. (there are a couple covered inserts keeping it from moving side to side that were from the previous battery) Swamped my ski last weekend and took the battery pretty low away from shore a ways. Recharged it and it's fine. Have a backup just in case, but haven't needed it yet. I like the idea of a case, but mine is in very solid and haven't found the need for one yet. Dietary issue lol.

I think I am going to try this one out. I like the idea of having a velrco strap to tighten down, plus it seems a little bit larger with the padding and it should just cover my inserts.

I also like how the strap splits the terminals and not over them like some of the other trays I have seen.

I may call the company and try to get dimensions first.

I love the 12 cell as well. I am very impressed with it. Cranks pretty dern strong.

Looking how simple that is, I could probably have one made up, and use the foam that comes with the battery.

Glad to hear everyone is having good luck with these.
