any interest in a new freeride in FL panhandle?

Im seeing if there's any interest in a freeride more near the central US... but still on the coast.. the texas coast is kinda nasty, so is the florida pan handle worth doing one at? it's 10hrs for me vs 16-20hrs for other freerides... Im not even sure if the waves are good enough, but if someone wants to chime in..

There used to be a freeride called x2travaganza... put on by @madscientist on the Pensacola shore. It is still one of my favorites I have been to.

Dunno when ur thinking of having a ride but I'm coming down the first week in may .around orange beach and gulfshores .

surf's up mostly in winter in the gulf unless a hurricane is brewing.pensacola or orange beach are nice places.

boggy point is where I heard most people ride down there .if I remember right .been going down Orange beach every year in may for the last 5 years but never took a ski down cuz I go during the week and I guess most people have to work weekdays and don't ride on weekday nights ..we normally go from Saturday to Saturday .the 2 nd threw the 10 of may I will be down .

James, During the summer months your correct sir, unless a good storm rolls in. I live on the coast and ride the surf weekly, and there are plenty good waves from fall time- through early spring to ride with especially around the Pensacola, Destin, and Panama City Passes. Check out the waves from the HT pro watercross 2014 in Pensacola, they were big enough for a double backflip by Daniel Martin. We have tons of riders from around this area that would be willing to help out and participate if an event took off. The turn out for the HT watercross in Panama City and Pensacola were bigger than expected and able to host plenty of parking/ hotels/ night life for competitors and others. If I can help in anyway to make this happen please let me know.

Pensacola beach is a difficult venue and a lot of red tape. I know.. currently i am doing local promotions for the ProWatercross tour and we still meet a wall of restrictions to hold the event as is. Planning a new event may be possible but not without a nominal notice. a " private gathering" is the best option. plan a weekend and we can make it come together.
