Any reason why I should not do this?

I am build a 2003 SJ for Frestyle. I have a 760 dual carb motor. I was going to remove the fuel selection and run one line to each carb with a filter on each line. I was also going to re do the feed lines so they both reach the bottom of the tank. Is there a reason why I should no do this?

Thats how both of my SJ's are set up. I like a clean dash w/o a bunch of knobs on it.

those 44's will work just fine with the single lines. They were designed to run like that.

Not gonna hurt to run dual lines as well.

Personally I like having a reserve. I ran my duals with a single line using the reserve for 2-3 years before I swapped.

I'm with Harrison. Chucky told that my 46's will run fine off a single line as long as the fuel selector is new and not corroded. I'm a big fan of reserve fuel: I can end up a long way from a refill sometimes.

Yeah, running out of gas more than 30ft from my gas can would really suck. Running out of gas 150 yards from shore in the surf would be a nightmare.

you are already pumping more fuel than you need through the carb -
hence the fuel return line.
running more fuel through the carbs has no advantage
but a reserve does :smoker:
