Any riders in MD

I'm down there occasionally. Any weekend you'll find riders out there, just not usually on SUs. I've heard there are other SUs down there, just never seen them myself. I need to get my SU down there one of these weekends instead of my XP. Just too far to ride so I'd have to trailer....
As for where to ride, typically shore riding isn't allowed. Since the break is too close to shore and you have to be a certain distance from land. You can get away with it if you go a little south but on SU it would be a pain. But there's a shoal outside the inlet to the right that's 1/4-1/2 mile out that causes nice breakers during low tide, decent other tides. That's where everyone mostly rides.

Me and some friends will be there Sunday riding the shoal :cool2:
I just got back from a trip down there a week ago. We launched at a camp ground called the Eagles Nest. Rode about 1/2mile to the inlet and made a right. The surf wasn't to good both days we rode. There was beach break. With 1-2ftwwaves but riding in about 6inchs of water to set up and landing in 4-5ft of water. There is also a sand bar farther out that had some rollers. Watch out for cops near and in the inlet, our group of 6 sxr's got pulled over both days. No tickets though. All in all Ocean city is an awesome place to ride. We found a mess of bouys south and ripped turns for hours. 6 tanks in 2 days

Yeah we're camping at Eagle's Nest too. Why'd you stay in the shorebreak with 1-2 footers when there's a shoal out further with rollers? :dunno:
We did hit the shoal but the waves had no form to them and besides it was fun beinging so close to shore. If you didn't set up right you were on the sand. My friend steve did a pretty big re-entry into about 1ft of water and rode it out. The Eagles Nest is a great camp ground. They let us rip our fiddy's all over it and no one complains. So far it's just three sj's, a b1, and a b2. We'll be camping Sat night :beerchug: and riding all day Sunday. Shoot me a pm if you want my phone number and want to try and hook up.

I've ridin out at Oc MD.Should be out there Aug 18-19-20th.When you goin?You not allowed to ride in the surf but there is a shoal a little ways out that is leagal to ride.
oops sorry, I thought this was a dead thread! Anyways, Im going the 1-3, only days my work will permit! Already tried to get out of it, but Im locked in unfortunately! Im staying on the 72nd road. I just hope my SJ fits in the back of the van, as my parents wont allow my SJ to take up the trailer space :bs2: I should be able to cram it in the car though :biggthumpup:
